I am not a very good writer by any means so I will keep this fairly short.
Very few people live to be 90 years old. Well, today my great grandma made it all the way to 98! Alta Osborne lives in her own little house in Fairview, Utah, the same house she lived in when she was 5 years old. She is quite the spunky lady. She still tries to do things on her own that she shouldn't, such as, she broke her hip awhile back trying to move her bed because she insisted on doing her spring cleaning! She has also played the organ in church for 75 years.
The most awesome thing about her is that she still has her mind. While she is becoming slightly hard of hearing, she is still mentally and physically there. She's not just some old lady that you have to try really hard to be nice to. She's there. I hope that if I ever reach her age that I'll still have my brain functioning enough to have an intelligent conversation.
I went to visit her on Sunday to wish her a Happy Birthday and I couldn't resist taking pictures of her and around her neat old house. The lighting was perfect. So, below are some images in tribute to my grandma, her life, her old house, and all of that fun stuff. Oh, and there was an old Model A car that drove by too.
